All set for the SADC Summit Fashion Show to be held in Swaziland on the 26th and 27th of August. The fashion festival pegged during the SADC Summit weekend, is an initiative by the Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture (SNCAC). The show which will host fashion designers and models from Botswana, Malawi, South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe promises to be a top of the class event. Even more excited is the Swaziland fashion industry which seeks to grab this opportunity to collaborate their work and labels with other fashion icons across the SADC region. This will be a good forum also for all designers and models to impress since most delegates attending the SADC summit will be in attendance.
Zimbabwe will be represented by Bulawayo based designers Annie Maliki of Litso Fashion, Sanaliso Mpofu of Sanah Designs and model Shadel Noble. The Zimbabwe fashion reps are no strangers to International exhibitions after showcasing at events such as the Zambia Fashion Week, Durban Fashion Fair and the Tswane Fashion Festival. “I’m bringing an edgy summer collection that people have never seen before,” commented Annie Maliki, whilst Sanah will be collaborating with an upcoming designer. The show comes after both designers impressed John Ablaza with their designs (pictured below) when he visited Zimbabwe couple of weeks back. We wish them all the best as they represent Zim fashion in Swaziland!
