In the first segment of the show, the couples come through and share how they met, fell in love and their favorite moments and frustrations of preparing and experiencing the big wedding day. In the second segment, it gets both fun and intense when they play “The Couples’ Game” which is a test of how well they know each other. The last segment of the show is led by Kevin Zhou (a wedding planner at VIP Hosting), and Pastor Evan Mawarire who is a relationship advisor on the program. With the mixed bag of characters and different colors of chemistry each couple has, there is story for every viewer who wants to believe in true love.

The Team

Denise Edwards conceived the initial idea to produce the Wedding Diaries show in 2013 but attempts to produce it then were not successful. After producing and directing her first TV Show titled Wine & Dine with Tumi for Zambezi Magic in 2015 with Invision Studios, she then moved on to try her 3rd attempt at producing Wedding Diaries. Blessing Chinanga took the lead role in producing the show and Denise was co-producer whilst Charles Mugaviri Jr. stepped in to direct the 13 episodes. Lisa Chiriseri stepped in to assist with the guest list and Tapuwa Mbuwayesango and Tapiwa Mugodi edited the production over a period of 5 weeks.
