1. P.O Box Reloaded

P.O Box might have split up and rebranded to P.O Box Reloaded but Bhutisi and Boss Khedha are still the talk of the town. Their 2 minute skits continue to educate, entertain and provoke thought through skits, mockumentaries and tabloid news. With each episode reaching a wide audience of nothing less than three thousand views, don’t be the anomaly, check out their YouTube channel for a side of Zim that always cracks you up.

  1. Shumba Beta (wershuta.com)

Just two over the top females, with lots of energy and lots of vision! This is a collection of creative skits written and performed by Zimbabwean born Ruvimbo Norah Mvududu and Otni Savane. These two crazy friends run a series of skits that every Zimbabwean can relate to. It all started in November 2014 when they came across a challenge on the Zvirikufaya naKedha page on Facebook, did the challenge and got an overwhelming response on their upload. They saw this an opportunity to do more skits and up to date they have been responsible for cracking ribs every other day. What we loved about their page is how the whole show is set up on a low budget but the content will make you laugh for days. Kinda impossible to watch an episode and not share with the next person. SideNote: Shu-Ta is a combination of their totems Shumba and Beta.

  1. Mindless TV

Hilarious skits anyone? Mindless TV is fairly new to the game but at the pace they are moving, they deserve being on our list. We bumped into their channel on Enthuse Afrika  and checked them out. What makes these Zim inspired comedy skits by Nickk Titan unique is the use of subtitles which mean a wider audience is reached and it’s easier to share with other people who can’t speak vernacular languages. The skits are also shorter but that doesn’t spare your ribs!

We just profiled 5 shows that we think are worth your data bundles but Zimbabwe is rich with content online. We are also seeing the emergency of film into the crative field and we woud love to recommend a number of must watch Zim films in 2016. Some of the Ah-Mazing you tube channels include Bus Stop TV, Zambezi Magic, Ya-Sibo? Media, King Kandoro, Kedha TV, among others. Happy viewing.
